Speedpanel can be manufactured in multiple colours. Colour steel and Colorbond material is commonly used for an aesthetically pleasing finish on Speedpanel walls. Speedpanel carries several standard colours at all times. All colours can be sourced but may incur additional lead times. Galvanised Speedpanel can also be painted. Using a quality etch primer to the galvanised surface, then allows your top coats to be colour your heart desires.
To complete a wall, the C-track is cut and folded open to allow the final four panels to be positioned like an arc and then in one movement snap them into place (much like tongue and groove flooring).
The beauty about Speedpanel systems is the ease and simplicity of assembly. Many of our customers have installed Speedpanel with great success. Various competent tradesmen including plasterers, carpenters and block layers have all successfully installed Speedpanel systems. Whilst Speedpanel do not install ourselves, we are more than happy to provide the appropriate levels of support to ensure your installation is a success. We can also provide contact details to many experienced installers from within your region.
Depending on the size of a project, builders may choose to have a separate Speedpanel package or alternatively offer Speedpanel within other trade packages of a project.
It also common for contractors to propose Speedpanel Systems as a cost saving alternative to builders to help them win a tender.
Yes, you can simply add extra sealant to the panel joints. This sealant should only be carried out after panels have been installed so as to ensure the tongue and groove of the panels properly engage. Leakage data can be obtained in our High Rise and Commercial Systems Guide on the Resources page.
Speedpanel recommend that the handrail is built into the stair master. For our continuous horizontal stacking and vertical stacking applications that do not use any lintel, these walls cannot have the hand rail attached to the Speedpanel. The only time a handrail can be attached to a Speedpanel wall is when it is vertically installed between two structural elements. (In a scissor stair this would mean a lintel is required between landings. Information is available from Speedpanel regarding this connection detail).
