Following its success in 2022-23 and recognising the continued importance of mental health within the Building and Construction industry, Speedpanel has again decided to get behind our MATES in Construction (MATES).

The Australian construction industry employs more than 625,000 people, making it one of the biggest employers in the country. Data from various sources, including MATES continues to suggest that mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety are disproportionally higher within the construction sector. Whilst some progress has been made, more work is needed to continue to educate and support our industry and its workers.

With all this in mind, this year in lieu of client Christmas Gifts, we’ve decided to once again donate to our friends at MATES.

The team at MATES do some truly wonderful work delivering strategic, innovative, evidence-based suicide prevention and mental health programs to the building, mining, energy and construction industries.  

We’re also putting the challenge out to our clients and partners in the building and construction industry as part of our annual Customer Survey initiative. From now until the 28th of February 2024, for every Valid Survey Entry we receive, we’ll donate $50 to our friends at MATES*.
